Workshops

For my currently running Workshops with dates and times see “Photography Workshops for 2017”

Workshop: How to make a photo book

In this 2 part course I teach you how to use the software (www.blurb.com) to create a photo book of your choice. One day one we learn the software and commence making the book. On day two we look at any issues you found during the week between workshops, the flow of the book and how to make it work better as well as uploading to order (or at least guiding you through that part). I encourage a week between as it allows you to work on your books at home and put in as much time, effort and thought as possible into it. It also gives motivation to work on the book.

Day 1: 10-2pm

Day 2: 10-2pm

I can offer this course, minimum 4 people, for £65 per person to cover the two days. I can offer it one-to-one for £125. Locations can be flexible. You need to be able to bring a computer or laptop with you – it’s easier than you think! I give you some homework prior to the course so that the software is downloaded to your computer and you have a set of photographs ready to work with. You can add more afterwards too, so don’t worry about not having all the photos ready for it for day one.

Workshop: Introduction to Photoshop (Adobe CS6)

2 hour course introducing you to the basic layout of photoshop, what the tools are and some basic photo editing to get you making a start on your photographs.

Workshop: Getting to know your camera

Bamboozled by your camera and all the buttons on it? Not know what they do or change? Then this 3 hour introduction is a great way to familiarise yourself and feel more competent with your camera.

Workshop: Make better photographs – learn about composition

A simple introduction to help you know your camera better, and to make better photographs.

Workshop: Photographing Buildings

Would you like to be able to photograph a building inside or outside better? Find out some top tips for composition in addition to a short hands on camera session at the end.

2 day on location workshops

I can offer 2 days workshops with accommodation overnight (sleeps up to 6) at our Stunning Shamrock Cottage (www.stunningshamrockcottage.com) on the shores of Lough Erne, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Dates for these could be flexible for your group and would depend on existing bookings for the cottage. For photography clubs I could also offer guided tours or offer you information to enable a better self-guided tour for your group pertinent to your own needs.
